REPORTS TO: Director/Designee EXEMPT STATUS: Exempt
BASIC FUNCTION:
Acts as a psychoeducational consultant who supports students academic and behavioral success through consultation counseling assessment and staff development.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
- Consult with staff on academic behavioral and early intervention strategies
- Conduct evaluations and interpret results for eligibility and program planning
- Serve on ARC teams to help develop IEPs and behavior plans
- Provide individual/group counseling to students
- Prepare clear and timely reports in compliance with professional standards
- Support data-driven planning at the school and district levels
- Train and mentor new psychologists and interns
- Lead staff development and parent training as needed
- Participate in district research evaluation and improvement planning
- Demonstrate punctuality professionalism appropriate appearance and consistent reliable attendance
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or designee
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Deep understanding of assessment tools data interpretation and special education regulations
- Ability to communicate assessment findings clearly to various stakeholders
Skill in delivering direct psychological services and supporting student mental health - Effective consultation collaboration and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate research into practical strategies for student support
- Work involves both indoor and occasional outdoor activity
- Stand & move for extended periods; lift push pull carry etc. up to 25 lbs.; kneel crouch sit etc.
- Use technology including computers interactive whiteboards audio-visual equipment etc.
- Adhere to the Professional Code of Ethics and follow all board and school policies

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Masters degree and current certification by the Kentucky Department of Education as a School Psychologist
- Three years of successful experience in school psychology or a related field
