Sister - Charge Nurse
Sarum Road Hospital
37.5 Hours & Permanent
Salary: Up to 43250.00 per year (depending on level of experience training and qualification)
We have an opportunity for a Sister - Charge Nurse to join their team of staff. We are an established team delivering high quality elective orthopaedic and surgical care. If you are an experienced senior staff nurse/band 6 equivalent looking for a fresh start or just curious about working in the independent sector this opportunity might be for you. This is a full- time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:
Provide hands-on clinical care acting as a senior point of support for complex or deteriorating patients.
Coordinate daily clinical activity and ensure safe staffing levels skill mix and continuity of care.
Promote high standards of nursing practice through supervision coaching and role modelling.
Allocate and supervise staff during shifts ensuring responsibilities are clearly defined and patient needs are met.
Support the development appraisal and competency assessment of junior nurses HCAs and students.
Contribute to the induction and ongoing development of new staff ensuring adherence to clinical standards and policies.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
Significant post-registration experience in an acute or relevant specialty.
Experience in leading and supervising a team within a clinical environment.
Strong clinical decision-making communication and coordination skills.
Commitment to high standards of patient care and professional development.
