Job Description
An established MEP consultancy based in Holywood County Down is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join their growing team. With a strong pipeline of high-quality projects across the residential commercial healthcare and education sectors this is an excellent opportunity for an electrical engineer whos ready to take on more responsibility and progress toward a senior position.
Youll be part of a tight-knit experienced team known for delivering technically sound sustainable and client-focused solutions throughout Northern Ireland and beyond.
Role Overview
You will contribute to the design and delivery of electrical building services systems on a range of projects working closely with senior engineers mechanical teams and external consultants. This role offers excellent exposure to the full project lifecycle making it ideal for someone eager to gain hands-on experience and take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and specification of electrical systems including lighting power fire alarm and data infrastructure
- Produce detailed calculations reports schematics and schedules
- Collaborate with mechanical and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate design solutions
- Attend design team meetings and undertake occasional site inspections
- Support and review the work of junior team members where applicable
- Communicate with clients and project stakeholders to help ensure expectations are met
About You
- Degree qualified in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
- 2-5 years experience in an electrical building services design role (preferably within a consultancy)
- Proficient in electrical design software such as Amtech Dialux and Revit
- Solid understanding of UK Building Regulations and relevant design standards (e.g. BS7671 CIBSE)
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative solution-driven attitude
