SUMMARY: As an essential member ofour Street Reach North team the Mental Health Clinician plays a pivotal rolein providing expert care support and therapeutic interventions to individualsexperiencing mental health challenges and who are identified as youth who areat high risk of sexual exploitation or already have been victims ofexploitation. This role is integral to fostering emotional well-being andhelping youth navigate their personal journeys.
DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES:
In Consultation withlocal services:
oConductthorough psychological assessments and evaluations
oMaintainaccurate and timely clinical documentation
oCoordinatecare with other healthcare providers and support staff
oOffercrisis intervention services when necessary
oStayupdated with the latest research and best practices in mental health treatment
oParticipatein case conferences and team meetings
oAdvocatefor client needs and rights within the systems
oAll other duties as outlined on thejob description
QUALIFICATIONS ANDSKILLS
oMastersor Doctorate degree in Psychology Social Work or a related field
oLicensedClinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)certification
oExperiencewith diverse populations and range of mental health issues
oSpecializedtraining in trauma-informed care
oExperienceworking with sexually exploited youth
oStrongcrisis intervention skills
oMinimumof 4 years of clinical experience
oStrongunderstanding of mental health disorders and treatment methodologies
oExcellentcommunication and interpersonal skills
oAbilityto maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
oStrongorganizational and time management skills
oProficiencyin standard office software such as Microsoft Office Suite
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
SALARY:Based on experiences
LOCATION:Thompson Manitoba.
HOURS OF WORK:40 hours per week.
