Job Description
The Patient Care Technician Trainee will learn and gain the required clinical and customer service skills and knowledge to be successful in providing care as a certified nursing assistant. As the Patient Care Technician one will provide direct patient care under the direction of the Registered or Licensed Practical Nurse by assisting with activities of daily patient care vital signs serve meals make beds and overall cleanliness of patient room observe for changes in patient condition/behavior and ensuring patient safety.
This is a 4 week on-the-job paid Patient Care Technician training program and will begin in August 2025.
A sign-on bonus of $3000.00 is available for qualified applicants.
Augusta Health is seeking a FT patient care technician
- Under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse performs various duties assisting unit staff nurses and clerical specialists to ensure efficient unit operations and safe patient care following established procedures.
- Includes bathing dressing and feeding of patients performing vital signs phlebotomy and Ekgs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
