You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThis position is responsible to ensure that all surgical instrument sets and equipment are properly maintained. Responsible for tracking lost and broken instrumentation and maintenance of digital records of instrumentation in Instrument Tracking System software. Performs weekly missing instrument audit reports. Ensures that these responsibilities are carried out according to established directions designated in procedure manual. Functions as a team member supporting department activities providing for optimal instrument and equipment processing. Functions as a patient advocate. Responsible for performing delegated activities to support the operating room team in the care of the surgical patient.
High school graduate or GED or three years instrumentation experience in a hospital setting.
Certified Central Service Technician certification required. Instrument Specialist Certification required or obtained within 6 months.
Additional Qualifications:
Successful completion of a vocational program for Central Service preferred. Technician or equivalent education/work experience preferred. Good computer knowledge good working knowledge of Power Point and SPM. Good interpersonal skills. Good verbal and written communications skills (English). Self-motivated able to work independently with little or no supervision.
License or Certification:
Certified Instrumentation Specialist Certification. Instrument Specialist Certification (or within 6 months).
