OF ASSIGNMENT
Maintains district cleaning standards and directs the work of the custodial crew to insure a clean sanitary comfortable and safe building. Under the direction of the chief custodian will work within established procedures to safeguard and operate the facility. Will plan and work with other custodians to accomplish the duties assigned.
FUNCTIONS
for all housekeeping services of the facility under the direction of the
chief custodian. Empties trash cans cleans chalkboards and chalk trays cleans
restrooms and classrooms dusts and spot mops tiled floor areas cleans furniture
vacuums and spot cleans carpeted areas bonnets and extracts carpets when
needed cleans sinks cleans windows fills all types of dispensers and empties
pencil sharpeners straightens student desks dusts high and low changes light
bulbs only when more than one custodian is present changes classroom trash can
liners cleans drinking fountains changes air filters where and when required
responsible for minor repairs to building and equipment washes walls cleans tile
floors and finishes applications responsible for cleaning junior and senior high
shower rooms preps and applies floor finish to tile floors when needed cleans
applies finish and maintains wooden floors where needed sweeps stairwells
entryways and thresholds responsible for set-ups and tear-downs for special events
in the building cleans all custodial equipment at end of shift.

furniture checks and locks doors and windows plans and works with assigned staff
to maintain buildings and grounds to district standards regulates proper
temperature humidity and ventilation within the facility routine performs daily
maintenance of boiler system if applicable renders assistance to maintenance
personnel when requested.

office within established time frames or as requested.
Supervisory responsibilities: Responds to emergencies after duty hours
when requested assists the chief custodian in evaluating custodians and substitute
custodians assigned to the facility follows written and oral directions when chief is .
not present during non-school days; performs additional duties related to
housekeeping and supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS
and Experience
school diploma or equivalent.
be in the existing Chief Custodian Trainee Program.
able to perform the duties demanded of a custodian.
completion of all four district standard custodial classes.
as a custodian (sweeper).
in the minor repair of electrical plumbing and carpentry areas.
be flexible to hour or shift changes to provide services for school functions.
training or experience necessary.

V. WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed indoors and outside sometimes in inclement weather. Employee may be exposed to dust and fumes from materials and equipment. Physical exertion is required and employee may be required to stand for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to bend stretch twist walk or reach and have ordinary skill and speed using fingers hands and limbs.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Employment with Clover Park School District is conditional pending completion of a Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation fingerprint background check as required by RCW28A.400.303. (NOTE: All associated background check fees are the employees responsibility.) The fingerprint scan must be completed prior to the first day of employment.
