On the Event Production team our fellow Amazonians are our customers and we enable them to work hard have fun and make history by providing them with leading-edge video conferencing and audio visual (AV) support in meeting rooms at Amazon locations around the globe. We also provide and support basic IT equipment and services they need to contribute in day to day duties
As an eXecutive Event Operation Engineer I you will be working with executive programs (from Event Production to Video Conferencing) within AWS and Amazon to facilitate in-person customer briefings designed to help customers accelerate their journey to the AWS Cloud. The engineer will be based onsite in AWS in Arlington and will be responsible for preparing meeting rooms and day of briefing meeting escalations.
You will look for opportunities to standardize improve productivity reduce time to resolve and reduce defects.
A successful candidate will bring their experience with audio visual and video conferencing large scope of IT software hardware and networking disciplines into a fast-paced corporate environment.
Travel up to 20% will be required.
Key job responsibilities
Regular activities and responsibilities include:
Windows/Mac OS support
User hardware/software/peripheral support
Creating and maintaining documentation
Provide break/fix support for Video Conferencing equipment in meeting rooms
Provide high level customers with assistance on using Video Conferencing technology
Coordinate equipment for meetings including video conferencing gear displays projectors speakers microphones cameras telephones laptops media players document cameras etc.
AV room furniture setup/strike and straightening including tables chairs lecterns pipe and drape easels and other equipment as needed or directed
Assist customers with finding and scheduling appropriate meeting rooms
Train customers to use self-service tools to schedule their own spaces services and resources
Assist high level customers with event services including production livestreaming PA equipment and Video Live Production
Provide courteous phone and chat support to customers
Create and maintain excellent relationships with our internal customers and co-workers
Adjust work schedule when needed to support Amazon business needs.
Track your work via our ticketing system
Assist event organizers with presentation formatting
Responsible for resolving or escalating technical issues in EBC rooms
- 1 years of Windows Server technologies: AD DFS Print Services SCCM experience
- 2 years of troubleshooting in a multi-user high availability environment experience
- 2 years of PC repair troubleshooting deployment and liquidation experience
- 1 years of IT client server and network service delivery experience
- 2 years of networking (such as DNS DHCP SSL OSI Model and TCP/IP) experience
- 2 years of corporate setting Windows Mac or Linux Operating systems support experience
- 2 years of supporting and maintaining a corporate network environment experience
- High school or equivalent diploma
- 2 years of computer networking experience
- Experience supporting video conference and teleconference equipment
