Kins Farm Markets success depends onthe knowledge experience and motivation of the people who work for to the Financial Controller theJunior Accountant will responsible for maintaining accounting principlespractices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. Alsoperforms analyzing recording transactions effectively and efficiently to beable to finish the financial reporting in a timely manner with accuracy;overviews AP AR and inventory are recorded and reported properly; assistsGreat Plains implementation processing; prepare forecast; provides holidayrelief and other duties as assigned.

As a Junior Accountant you will:
- Meets accounting financial objectives by performing the following activities:
Reviewingthe stores monthly bank reconciliations.
Reconcilingstores A/P with inter-com.
Respondingthe stores questions regarding report cards.
Maintainingthe accuracy of the general ledger information fixed asset schedule filingtaxes.
Preparingrecording month end journal entries report cards financial statements andmanagement reports.
Recordingyear-end adjustments preparing working papers for year-end audit purpose.
Preparingstore budget and forecast.
Maintaininggood records keeping and good filing system.
Maintaininglicensee records.
Supervisingteam members.
Vacationback up for other team members.
Otheraccounting duties as assigned.
- Helps to check financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses; coordinating the collection consolidation and evaluation of financial data; preparing special reports.
- Participates in maintaining accounting controls by establishing a chart of accounts.
- Helps other departments in interpreting accounting policy; applying observations and recommendations to operational issues.
- Maintains financial security by establishing internal controls (SOX environment) and other related systems.
- Assists the Financial Controller in monthly financial close process including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded reviewing journal entries account balance reconciliations and Store P&L preparation.
- Supports payroll team by calculating the quarterly bonus for Store Managers and Staff.
- Engages in the implementation process of Great Plains or other ERP project.
- Participates in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures.
- Supports the Financial Controller in preparation of auditing process to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
- Be proactive in providing recommendations for changes as needed and ensure that company policies and procedures are followed.
REQUIREMENTS SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Minimum1 year experience in bookkeeping accounting administration or similarrole
Diplomain Accounting
Intermediatecomputer skills including Microsoft Office
Goodcommunication and interpersonal skills
Strategicthinker with strong business acumen and analytical skills
Abilityto work autonomously while managing multiple priorities
Abilityto multi-task; work on variety of projects simultaneously
Establishcredibility at all levels of the organization through communication knowledgeand professional presence
