HPC-Industrialpowered by Clean Harbors inNorco LAis looking for a Class A Roll Off Driver to join their safety conscious team at a customer site!TheClass A Roll-Off Driver is responsible for adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) and hazardous waste regulations while operating a Company vehicle and duties associated with transporting of hazardous waste (tank van and/or roll-off) on and/or outside the customer site.

Work Schedule:

  • 24/7 - Must be available to work any type of schedule (Days Nights Week Days Weekends etc.)


Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as safety representative responsible for safety policies and procedures of both the company and the customer including hands-on information regarding operations safety equipment emergency response and administrative functions.
  • Responsible for the safe and proper operation of Company equipment and the on site and off site transportation of waste materials.
  • Ensure proper loading and unloading of hazardous/non-hazardous waste (i.e. compatibility of liquid to tank proper container integrity for drum loads); Adhere to weight limits drum segregation requirements.
    Responsible for the proper placarding of vehicles to meet Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements and regulations.
  • Responsible for maintaining daily logs vehicle inspection reports and trip and dispatch reports as required by Company policy and DOT regulation.
  • Responsible for the daily inspection and ongoing maintenance and cleaning of assigned Company equipment.
  • May be required to examine surface cleaned to ensure conformance to company and customer specifications;
  • May transport equipment and personnel to and from customer locations;
  • Provide general maintenance in the field;
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience:

  • Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training on-the-job training and essential experience gained on other jobs;
  • Language proficiency: understand English at a level to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergency situations;
  • Valid drivers license CDL Class A or B and other requirements of companys driving policy required when driving company vehicle or using personal vehicle on company business;
  • Must be knowledgeable in the operation of emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers;


Qualifications

What does it take to work for HPC-Industrial

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • Class A CDL License required
  • No Restriction on CDL License required
  • Air Brake & Hazmat Endorsement
  • 40 Hour OSHA Training & 8 Hour DOT Training with current Refresher
  • TWIC required
