Mid-Level Procurement Field Representative (Level 3) (2nd Shift)

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for Mid-Level Procurement Field Representative (Level 3) (2nd Shift) to join our Renton Vendor Asst team in Renton WA. 2nd shift hours: Mon-Fri 1:30 pm till 10 pm.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative and diverse team. In this role you will partner with our Senior Leadership team on program management & strategic business transformation initiatives to make the company stronger more competitive and more resilient long term. You will have the chance to define and lead program & project management best practices. You will help drive business planning and decision making operations and business insights up and down the Renton Vendor Asst.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Monitors emergent offload/overload suppliers including processors philanthropic machine shop and sheet metal shop to ensure schedule compliance and product conformity.
  • Identifies establishes and maintains priorities for deliveries of products services and data that support necessary supplier contractual corrective actions and resolution of issues (e.g. poor schedule performance product and producibility issues) to ensure contractual compliance.
  • Communicates across functions (e.g. procurement agents suppliers internal customers field quality engineering manufacturing) to report status and concerns.
  • Co-facilitates with the supplier the development of a recovery plan and unplanned demand requirements. Identifies needs for training on business and manufacturing practices (e.g. requirements interpretation and clarification contractual compliance scheduling tools technical skills self-assessment) to supplier personnel for improvement or enhancement delivery performance.
  • Participates with the procurement agent in on-site supplier assessments (e.g. Preferred Supplier Certification Proof of Process and Rate Readiness) to identify supplier capacity and capability to perform current and projected work statement and support Boeing procurement strategy.
  • Monitors suppliers performance-to-plan to ensure compliance to contractual requirements and provides status back to supervisor and procurement agent.
  • Identifies and communicates opportunities to implement new processes or improves existing processes and reports back to management and make recommendations to procurement agent.
  • Assesses supplier resource plan and reports results to supervisor/procurement agent. Supports work movement as requested by supervision.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 3 years of experience in the Supply Chain managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services
  • 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook PowerPoint Excel and Word
  • Must be willing and able to work any shift (Must be able & willing to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays; mission requirements and/or workload may require both scheduled and unscheduled overtime
  • 3 years of experience in Procurement and Supply Chain processes

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelors Degree or Advanced Degree
  • 5 years of experience demonstrating exceptional business analytical and problem-solving skills
  • 5 years of experience in performing aircraft manufacturing operations in one or more of the following domains: Assembly Mechanical Electrical Seal Quality Assurance or Flightline environment
