Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Streetlight Groundman to support our streetlight installation and maintenance team. The Groundman will assist linemen and technicians with equipment handling material preparation and other essential tasks to ensure the safe and efficient completion of streetlight projects. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to build a career in the electrical utility or construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist linemen in installing maintaining and repairing streetlight systems including poles fixtures and wiring.

• Prepare tools materials and equipment for linemen at job sites.

• Operate and maintain vehicles tools and equipment such as bucket trucks power tools and hand tools.

• Load and unload materials and equipment from trucks and ensure proper organization at the worksite.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.

• Signal or direct traffic around work zones when required.

• Inspect tools and equipment for proper functioning and report any issues to supervisors.

• Assist with trenching digging or other ground-level tasks as needed.

• Perform routine maintenance on streetlight bases and associated ground-level components.

• Provide support during emergency repairs or outages including after-hours callouts.

• Actively use the program TerraGO to complete jobs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience in construction electrical or utility work is a plus.

• Familiarity with basic tools and equipment used in streetlight or electrical work.

• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Willingness to learn and grow within the industry including potential advancement to lineman roles.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Valid drivers license required; CDL is a plus.

• Commitment to following safety guidelines and wearing required PPE.
