This position is primarily for educational or religious purposes and should be used for providing valuable educational experiences for the Intern. It is to give the Intern an opportunity to see how principles and practices learned in their educational institutions are applied in an actual work setting. Under general supervision the Intern performs work as assigned by the department.
The Church History Department is pleased to announce a 40 hour per week 12 month paid conservation internship based at the Church History Museum. Starting dates are flexible between July-September 2025.
The Church History Department is responsible to preserve collect and share a record of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints and its people. The conservation intern will support this mission by working with conservators one-on-one to treat support and preserve museum materials. The intern will have regular check-ins with conservation staff to receive work assignments and review execution of responsibilities. A significant portion of the internship will be spent on treatment and mounting of a variety of artifacts for exhibition.
