Role Overview
66degrees is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior QA Engineer with 47 years of experience to join our dynamic Software Engineering this role you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the quality performance and reliability of modern cloud-native applications. You will build and execute comprehensive test strategies across UI and API layers while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business and functional requirements into clear maintainable test plans and cases.
- Design and perform functional regression smoke and integration testing.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver TestNG and Cucumber.
- Conduct API testing using tools like Postman REST Assured and Newman.
- Participate in Agile ceremoniessprint planning daily stand-ups and retrospectives.
- Log track and validate defects in collaboration with engineering and product teams.
- Ensure end-to-end traceability between requirements test cases and defects using tools like JIRA Zephyr or TestRail.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins GitLab CI).
Required Skills & Experience
- 47 years of experience in manual and automation testing across web API and mobile platforms.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies SDLC STLC and Agile practices.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver Appium TestNG and Cucumber (BDD).
- Proficiency in test scripting using Java Python or JavaScript.
- Experience with REST API testing (Postman REST Assured).
- Familiarity with backend testing SQL and database tools like MS SQL Server.
- Expertise in test planning estimation automation strategy and reporting.
- Competency in Git Jenkins and Maven for version control and build automation.
- Exposure to cloud platformsGCP (preferred) AWS or Azure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g. JMeter).
- Exposure to cross-browser/device testing platforms (Browser Stack Sauce Labs).
- Understanding of multiple SDLC models including Agile Scrum Waterfall and V-Model.
