The school psychologist is directly responsible for the psychological assessment of academic social emotional and behavioral domains utilizing problem-solving and standardized evaluations. The school psychologist participates in Individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings and building-based problem solving meetings designing systems programs and services that maximize students social emotional and educational success. In collaboration with staff families and communities the school psychologist promotes effective educational environments. Assess psychological educational and behavioral needs of referred students and consults with the appropriate professional persons regarding implications and resultsFacilitates and/or participates in eligibility meetings IEP meetings and disciplinary review meetingsConsults with students school staff and parents regarding academic and/or personal/social needsMaintains clearly written and comprehensive reportsComplete Medicaid paperwork for eligible studentsServe on Student Support TeamsKnowledge in Multi-Tiered System Supports (MTSS)Follow all laws guidelines regulations standards and practices
