Human Resources Generalist Position Type: Full Time Classification: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY The Human Resources Generalist plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day HR operations across all Victory entities including Victory Church Victory Christian School Victory College Camp Victory and the Tulsa Dream Center. This position serves as a key partner in executing HR functions with excellence and grace with a primary focus on leading the recruitment and onboarding process for Victory Church and affiliated ministries. The HR Generalist also provides support in employee relations payroll processing records management and compliance while helping ensure that HR practices reflect both legal integrity and ministry values. Additionally this role assists in drafting and distributing clear timely and ministry-aligned internal staff communications to help keep all employees informed and engaged.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and post job openings on appropriate job boards and platforms to attract qualified candidates.
- Screen applications and resumes coordinate interviews and manage the hiring process from initial contact to offer acceptance.
- Assist with candidate selection including background checks offer letter preparation and compensation discussions.
- Oversee the full onboarding process for new hires ensuring a smooth transition and positive first-day experience.
- Process all new hire documentation including creating onboarding checklists updating the applicant tracking system (ATS) maintaining internal ministry systems and following up with applicants as needed.
- Assist in drafting maintaining and communicating personnel policies and procedures; provide guidance and interpretation to ensure consistency across ministry operations.
- Work collaboratively with departments to bring clarity to managers and supervisors regarding HR functions employment laws policies and best practicesoffering responsive and solutions-focused customer service.
- Support the development and implementation of HR systems and objectives including tracking key metrics creating reports and identifying areas for improvement.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance HR efficiency and elevate the overall employee experience.
- Monitor compliance with state and federal employment regulations and ensure policies and procedures are updated accordingly.
- Prepare and coordinate onboarding logistics for new hires and volunteers collaborating with internal departments to deliver a seamless experience.
- Perform administrative tasks related to onboarding volunteer processing new hire orientation and exit interviews; ensure accurate data entry and system integrity.
- Provide employee relations support on topics including attendance performance workplace conduct and health-related concerns; conduct workplace investigations as needed and escalate complex cases to senior HR leadership.
- Assist with payroll processes including validating timecards processing vacation and sick leave tracking employee changes and maintaining payroll accuracy.
- Maintain and update HR documents such as the employee handbook organizational chart and staff directory; contribute to policy development and communication.
- Occasionally commute to ministry locations or event sites as needed for HR support and coverage.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in HR business or a related field or equivalent work experience;
- Additional HR training and understanding of labor relations is a plus;
- Excellent communication skills interpersonal skills ethics and cultural awareness;
- Resourceful problem-solving aptitude and thorough knowledge of HR procedures policies and state and Federal regulations;
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office HRIS systems and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed;
- Exceptional interpersonal negotiation and conflict resolution skills;
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadline;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skill;
- Ability to prioritize tasks;
- Positive customer-oriented attitude and professional image.

- Prolonged period of time sitting at a desk working close-up tasks primarily on a computer in environmentally controlled office;

- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times (e.g. supplies files recruiting materials).
- Occasional standing walking bending and reaching as needed to access office equipment or attend events.
- Must be able to navigate multiple ministry campus locations and event spaces as needed.
- Ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced environment including the ability to shift between in-person and virtual communications and meetings.
- Visual and auditory ability to read documents view computer screens and communicate effectively in both individual and group settings.
