- Support cutting-edge plant science research in a world-class facility.
- Join a collaborative and innovative team at UWAs School of Molecular Sciences.
- Full-time appointment on a fixed-term basis for 3 years.
- Base salary range: $74450 $ 79085 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.
About the area
The School of Molecular Sciences at The University of Western Australia is a hub for research and education in chemistry biochemistry molecular biology and related fields. Located in the Bayliss Building the School fosters a vibrant research community with strong industry and academic partnerships as well as a commitment to innovation and excellence in teaching and research.
About the opportunity
- Provide plant growth culture and genetics services in a controlled-environment facility.
- Support research activities by maintaining equipment and supplies and ensuring compliance with the OGTR regulations.
- Assist in training users and coordinating facility bookings and operations.
About you
- Certificate in Laboratory Techniques Horticulture or demonstrated equivalent competency.
- Experience in plant growth and controlled environment facilities.
- Knowledge of OGTR regulations and experience managing compliant facilities.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Special Requirements
- Current C class drivers licence.
- Occasional weekend and after-hours work may be required.
