Job Description
- Location: Fort Worth TX 76104
- Shift: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
- Guaranteed Hours: 8 per week
- Compensation: Based on experience
- Examine collect record and maintain patient information such as medical history reports and examination results.
- Prescribe or administer treatments therapies medications vaccinations and other medical care to treat or prevent illness injury or disease.
- Order perform and interpret diagnostic tests to evaluate patient conditions.
- Collaborate with a clinical care team including nurses advanced practice providers and medical assistants.
- Provide accurate diagnoses and recommend appropriate care plans based on current medical guidelines.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans when necessary.
- Diagnose and treat both acute and chronic illnesses in accordance with best practices.
- Perform minor procedures and treatments within scope of practice and training.
- Provide lifestyle counseling and preventative care education (e.g. diet exercise smoking cessation).
- May supervise clinical activities of other providers and allied health staff.
- Ensure documentation is completed timely and accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Education:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school (required)
Licensure & Certification:
- Current license to practice medicine in Texas (required)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (required)
- Current DEA registration (required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)
Experience:
- At least 1 2 years of experience in a Family Medicine or Primary Care setting.
- New graduates from residency programs will also be considered.
