Job Description

Physical Therapy Assistant Permanent Role
  • Location: College Station TX 77845
  • Shift: 12 HR Days 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
  • Compensation: Based on experience
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Administer physical therapy interventions as outlined by the Physical Therapist.
  • Assist and instruct patients in therapeutic activities and mobility including transfers and gait training.
  • Monitor patient performance and physical status to evaluate treatment effectiveness.
  • Educate patients on modalities and ensure safe and appropriate usage.
  • Escort patients to treatment areas and establish rapport in a professional manner.
  • Create and document home exercise programs and supplemental instructions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and patient progress.
  • Collaborate with the Physical Therapist to communicate patient progress and adjust goals as needed.
  • Submit accurate charges in a timely manner.

  • Physically capable of prolonged standing movement pushing and patient handling
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good computer literacy and documentation skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively with diverse patient populations
  • Professional compassionate and team-oriented demeanor
Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Associates degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
  • Experience: Less than 1 year of experience required (new grads welcome).
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in the state of Texas.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain within 30 days of hire).
