A leading law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with at least one year of experience to join its dynamic Labor & Employment practice group. This role offers a diverse and intellectually challenging opportunity to work alongside highly experienced attorneys dedicated to helping employers navigate complex workplace laws in California.
About the Role:
The associate will support clients by providing strategic advice and representation in a wide range of employment and traditional labor law matters. This includes:
Conducting legal research and analysis on employment law issues.
Advising employers on compliance with California employment laws such as discrimination harassment retaliation wage-and-hour matters leave laws reasonable accommodation and wrongful termination.
Responding to demand letters and handling urgent client counseling needs.
Representing employers in federal and state litigation including class action and PAGA cases.
Advocating for clients in administrative proceedings before agencies like the California Labor Commissioner California Civil Rights Department and EEOC.
Preparing and updating employment-related documents including handbooks agreements and workplace policies.
Conducting client trainings and assisting with traditional labor matters such as contract negotiations arbitrations and NLRB proceedings.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
A minimum of one year of relevant employment or labor law experience.
Strong research writing and analytical skills.
The ability to manage multiple matters and respond quickly to client needs.
A demonstrated interest in employment law and eagerness to learn a broad spectrum of topics.
Leadership problem-solving abilities and a commitment to service as shown through legal or non-legal experience.
Additional Attributes Sought:
Membership in the California Bar.

Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to ask questions and seek guidance.
A client-first attitude with a genuine desire to solve problems.
