Job Description

As a Patient Support Specialist you will play a vital role in supporting patients throughout their journey with Angel Rx. You ll provide high-quality service through inbound and outbound calls helping members understand their benefits guiding them through our program and ensuring they receive the care and prescriptions they need. Your empathetic communication and problem-solving skills will help foster trust and build strong relationships with the individuals we serve.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding support to members through inbound and outbound calls following communication scripts where applicable.
  • Educate members about the Angel Rx program answer questions explain procedures and assist with general inquiries.
  • Build rapport with patients by being attentive empathetic and solution-oriented.
  • Coordinate with doctors offices to verify and obtain prescriptions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all interactions using internal systems.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and uphold compliance standards including HIPAA.
  • Complete administrative tasks including data entry and required paperwork.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement by suggesting updates to procedures and workflows.
  • Manage time effectively to balance daily tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven ability to build relationships and adapt to various communication styles.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow.

  • Comfortable navigating technology and multiple systems.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.
  • Basic data entry and documentation skills.
  • Amenable working US hours and reporting onsite.


Preferred Experience

  • Background in customer service call centers or healthcare support roles.
  • Previous experience as a pharmacy technician (a plus but not required).
  • Experience in teaching education or classroom support.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and general computer proficiency.
  • Prior exposure to working in regulated or HIPAA-compliant environments.
