We are currently looking to recruit a Night Registered Nurses with a passion for providing exceptional kind personalized care that promotes choice dignity and respect for our 49-bed care services in the town of Crook in County Durham dedicated to a range of personal care needs for people with old age related frailties and disabled people also.

We have full time night shifts available.

Night shifts12-hour shift 8pm-8am

Pay rate is between 20-21 per hour

Location: CrookDL15

About you:

  • An Registered General Nurse with experience in a care home setting caring for older people.
  • Hold a valid UK NMC PIN ( no restrictions)
  • Ability to work on shift/rota pattern.
  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Kind and caring approach with a passion for delivering the highest possible standard of care and support for the residents.
  • You will have excellent communication skills.
  • You will work well within the team leading supporting and training junior staff members
  • You will have previous experience in motivating the team.
  • Clear DBS And 2 satisfactory references

Information about the Role:

Working as an RGN Nurse (Registered General Nurse)

  • Assess patient health problems and needs develop and implement nursing care plans and maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to ill injured and long term service users.
  • Behave in a professional and discreet manner at all times and in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code.
  • Be competent and confident in managing people with long term health conditions.
  • Assess diagnose plan implement and evaluate interventions/treatments for service users with complex needs.
  • Proactively identify diagnose and manage treatment plans for service users (as appropriate).
  • Priorities health problems and intervene appropriately to assist service users in complex
  • urgent or emergency situations including initiation of effective emergency care.
  • Recognize and work within your own competence level
  • Produce accurate contemporaneous and complete records of service user interaction and consultation consistent with legislation policies and procedures.
  • Support manage and guide support workers on a daily basis.
  • Continual personal development to develop oneself and the role.
  • You will dispense and administer medication to residents as prescribed accurately maintaining appropriate records
  • You will carry out stock control and ordering of resident s prescribed medication and medical products
  • You ll need to understand and comply with all statutory and legal requirements that are relevant such as Health and Safety COSHH and all aspects of the care Standards Act.
