As a Smallworld GIS Consultant you will:
- Develop customize and maintain applications within the Smallworld GIS ecosystem including Core SW4 SW5 PNI Electric Office (EO) Gas Office and associated tools.
- Perform system installations configurations patching and deployment of Smallworld suite products in production environments.
- Support customer-specific enhancements including source control management software integration Citrix deployment and development process alignment.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality GIS solutions and troubleshoot issues across application database and server layers.
- Work with various technologies such as Magik Java JSF SQL and Oracle in a VMDS and Citrix environment.
What You Bring to the Table:
- 5 years of hands-on experience in Smallworld GIS platforms including PNI SW4 SW5 EO GDO GTO GSS GSA DM MES NRM K8.
- Strong development experience in Magik Java SQL Shell scripting and VMDS.
- Proficiency in database technologies such as Oracle and SQL.
- Familiarity with Electric Office Web Gas Office and Network Inventory Gateway tools.
- Experience in installing OS patches 3rd party software (e.g. ONA Data Center Management) and live system updates.
- Knowledge of source control systems and modern software development workflows.
You Should Possess the Ability To:
- Troubleshoot and debug Smallworld GIS applications using log files and diagnostic tools.
- Analyze identify and resolve system and application-level problems independently.
- Work across full application stack from configuration and scripting to deployment and customer support.
- Communicate effectively in French and English both written and verbal.
- Use MS Office tools (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook) for reporting and collaboration.
