At Element Six we are looking for an innovative and impactful Finance Shared Service Manager to oversee the global shared service team. This role is responsible for all accounts payable and accounts receivable activities for Element Six sites. Having recently automated some parts of the processes the focus is optimising this new technology. This role is pivotal to the provision of financial services to the Element Six group.
The Finance Shared Service Manager will lead the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) teams ensuring KPIs are met. You will also ensure high levels of motivation within the team to drive and continue the business ethos when it comes to standardisation and digitalisation.
You will report into the Financial Controller and have regular exposure to senior management and interaction with the wider business.
Duties and Tasks
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the global shared service centre including the third party and intercompany AP AR and cash & bank
- Own the financial aspects of the Order-to-Cash and Purchase-to-Pay processes for the group including design and implementation of global processes and procedures and ensuring a robust control environment
- Inspire motivate and develop a high performing global AP and AR team fostering a culture of creativity collaboration and excellence
- Partner with other functions to streamline and standardise the end to end procure to pay process across the Group
- Lead and support the team to embed and monitor their KPIs along with development of the team to drive continuous improvement in the quality and output of their work
- Responsibility for delivery of AP AR and cash & bank month end close including revaluations and key reconciliations to ensure group timelines are met and support queries from the wider finance team
- Responsibility for cash forecasting of AP to assist with funding decisions
- Approvement of all payments for all Element Six companies
- Foster long term relationships internally and externally to ensure timely delivery of tasks and resolution of internal and external queries
- Assisting with internal and external audits as required
- Contribute to wider finance transformation projects as required
- Comply with Group procedures including Health & Safety
Qualifications :
- Proven management skills and a demonstrable interest in the management and development of people
- Experience of working in a financial shared service centre
- Ability to visualise plan and drive the scale of change required to establish the Financial Shared Service as a global centre of excellence
- Experience of delivering a high-class service to internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and to work constructively with various levels of the organisation across multiple geographies
- Ability to use own initiative manage and prioritise team workload conflicting deadlines and priorities
- Highly motivated intellectually curious willing to critically challenge ideas and processes
