Job Summary

The Sales Manager for the Fuel & Lubricants industry will be responsible for growing the business by managing relationships with clients in the fuel and lubricants segment identifying new business opportunities and providing technical solutions from the companys product portfolio. The role requires a solid understanding of chemical applications in fuels lubricants and additives combined with sales expertise. The successful candidate will leverage technical knowledge to meet customer needs deliver tailored solutions and contribute to the overall growth of the company in this segment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute strategies to grow revenue in the Fuel & Lubricants market.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities; expand existing accounts.
  • Present tailored technical and commercial proposals; negotiate and close deals.

Account Management

  • Manage a portfolio of clients ensuring satisfaction and long-term growth.
  • Serve as the primary contact aligning solutions with client goals.
  • Conduct regular client meetings to review projects and explore new needs.

Technical Consultation

  • Provide technical insights on product applications and performance.
  • Collaborate with customer R&D and production teams to deliver solutions.
  • Support sales with technical expertise to demonstrate product value.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with R&D marketing and production to meet customer requirements.
  • Share customer feedback to guide product development and improvements.

Market Strategy & Research

  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities.
  • Represent the company at trade shows conferences and client meetings.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors in Chemistry Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • 510 years in technical sales or business development in fuels/lubricants.
  • Strong knowledge of chemical formulations and additives.
  • Experience with industrial automotive or specialty lubricants.

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Proven ability to meet sales targets and manage client relationships.
  • Excellent communication negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events
  • MRP/ERP system experience (preferably D365 or Dynamix AX)
  • Experience with high-performance additives.
  • Familiarity with ASTM/API standards.
  • Established network in the fuel and lubricant industry.

Physical Requirements and Environment:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Travel required for client engagement and industry events.
