Job Description
REQUIRED - ACTIVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE / SCI ELIGIBLE
Location: Huntsville AL
Salary: Full Time $158000 / yr.
Brief:
The Senior Data Engineerwill be responsible for engineering in support of an advanced visual analytic application that includes developing data analytics for desktop and web-developed visual analytic software facilitating the bulk analysis of relational information utilizing advanced graphics visualization and high-performance computing as well as using the specified open source COTS and GOTS technologies. The Senior Data Engineer will establish an application that produces manageable actionable intelligence from streams of structured and semi-structured data; design strategies for enterprise database systems and set standards for operations programming and security; design and construct large relational databases; and integrate new systems with existing warehouse structure and refine system performance and functionality.
Job Requirements:
- Active Top Secret/SCI Eligibility Clearance
- At least eight (8) years of experience providing data engineering or related work
- Experience with Java AWS Python Apache Spark Linux Git Maven and Docker
- Experience maintaining an Apache Hadoop Ecosystem using tools like HBase MapReduce and Spark
- Knowledge of ETL processes utilizing Linux shell scripting Perl Python and Apache Airflow
- Experience with AWS services such as CloudWatch CloudTrail ELB EMR KMS SQS SNS and Systems Manager
- Experience in supporting maintaining and migrating JavaFX applications to modern cloud-native solutions
- Robust decision-making skills and domain knowledge
- Bachelors Degree in related field or in lieu of degree 4 additional years of experience
