Location: Auburn GA 30011
Pay: $17- $21 an hour- Full-time
Requirements
- Al least 1 year of background and formal experience in lake/pond maintenance landscaping commercial mowing turf management pesticide application
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis.
- Ability to walk on steep slopes for extended periods of time.
- Ability to bend and stoop on a continual basis.
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work around bees poison ivy pollen thorns and other environmental risks.
- Must practice safety with chemicals and equipment.
- Must have good communication skills and ability to motivate others.
- Must comply with Dragonflys policies and procedures.
- Possesses core values compatible with those of Dragonfly Pond Works (Quality Focus Take Ownership Growth Oriented)
Key Responsibilities
Working under the direct supervision of the Crew Lead this is a field-based position and functions as an integral component to the smooth and profitable execution of work in the field. While each project is different the technicians responsibilities encompass the following:
- Assist Foreman on all aspects of pond maintenance services.
- Mowing/string trimming slopes and basins of ponds
- Selective removal of invasive plants around ponds
- Load and unload heavy equipment and planting materials from trucks.
- Collection of company owned equipment and tools at the end of the day.
- May be asked to help in other divisions such as inspection repair as needed.
Safe operation and maintenance of the following equipment:
- Mowers - Stand on walk behind Ventrac.
- Edgers string trimmers and chain saws
- Backpack blowers and sprayers
- Hand tools such as shovels picks rakes and pruning tools.
