Job Description

Location: Tendring Clacton-on-Sea England United Kingdom CO15 1QP Salary Annual Salary: 130000 - 165000 Job Responsibilities Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evaluations for adult patients. Develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Monitor and manage patient progress adjusting treatment approaches as necessary. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for patients. Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement projects to enhance service delivery. Consult with other healthcare professionals and contribute to case discussions and decision-making. Engage in ongoing professional development and keep abreast of advancements in psychiatric care. Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and trainees in psychiatric practices. Essential Qualifications License: GMC registration with a license to practice. Core Psychiatry Training (CT1 CT3: 3 years of full-time training in general adult psychiatry and other subspecialties. Higher Specialist Training (ST4 ST6: 3 years in a psychiatry subspecialty leading to a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT): Necessary for eligibility for consultant psychiatrist roles and placement on the GMC Specialist Register. Recognised medical degree (e.g. MBBS MBChB) from a GMC-approved institution. Desired Experience Minimum of 10 years of experience in psychiatry focusing on adult mental health. Experience working in NHS hospitals or private psychiatric providers such as Cygnet Healthcare is preferred. Strong background in managing complex psychiatric cases and crisis intervention. Work Environment & Schedule Work mode involves 37.5 hours per week primarily in-person at the hospital. Attendance expected for 36 42 hours/week depending on role specifics. Shifts are dependent on hospital requirements with some roles allowing for up to 2 days of remote work. Position primarily onsite with no significant travel required. Interview Process The interview process will consist of 2 3 stages potentially including a meet-and-greet with the team. Additional Information Location Preference: Ideally candidates should be local to the hospital site; however a relocation package is available for candidates elsewhere in the UK or Ireland.
