Schedule: Monday Friday availability preferred (Per-Diem)
Position Overview:
Nuvem is seeking a committed and experienced Per-Diem Pharmacist to support our retail-style pharmacy operations located within Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs). This unique position offers the flexibility of per-diem scheduling while engaging in a collaborative clinical environment that emphasizes patient outcomes safety and satisfaction.
As a Per-Diem Pharmacist you will be responsible for maintaining and strengthening the pharmacys relationship with our partner health centers. This includes daily engagement with medical providers clinic staff and patients as well as contributing as an active member of the care team.
Primary Role:
Your role will center on delivering the highest standard of pharmaceutical care from medication counseling and chronic disease support to team leadership and operational oversight. You will also help cultivate a positive and service-oriented culture within the pharmacy team focused on delivering exceptional patient care and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clinical education and medication counseling to patients.
Oversee pharmacy operations to ensure compliance with professional practice standards and regulatory requirements.
Foster collaborative relationships with clinic providers and staff.
Manage and mentor pharmacists and pharmacy technicians addressing skill gaps through training and support.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA Fraud Waste and Abuse guidelines and local policies.
Lead and maintain operational excellence in:
Patient safety and quality assurance
Regulatory and legal compliance
Customer service and workflow management
Inventory control and loss prevention
Financial performance and cost-efficiency
Qualifications Required:
Active pharmacist license in the state of practice in good standing.
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution.
Minimum 4 5 years of retail pharmacy experience
At least 3 years of pharmacy management experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
High standards for patient care and service excellence.
Preferred:
Experience working with 340B pharmacy programs.
Background in FQHC or clinic-based pharmacy operations.
Familiarity with compliance requirements in both retail and clinical settings.
