Job Summary:
This temporary-to-hire Medical Assistant position is for local candidates only within a 50-mile radius of Seattle WA. The MA will provide support in an adult outpatient infectious disease clinic focusing on patient care and administrative tasks. The position requires experience in a similar setting and proficiency with electronic health records (EHR).

Location: Seattle Washington United States
Responsibilities:
- Providing patient care support under the supervision of a physician or other healthcare professional.
- Assisting with clinical procedures and patient examinations.
- Taking and recording vital signs.
- Administering medications (as permitted by state regulations).
- Maintaining patient records and medical charts (using EPIC EHR).
- Performing basic laboratory tests.
- Scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
- Handling phone calls and patient inquiries.
- Sterilizing and preparing medical instruments.
- Assisting with other tasks as needed.
- Assisting with clinical procedures and patient examinations.

Required Skills & Certifications:
- At least 6 months of experience as a Medical Assistant in an adult outpatient clinic.
- Current and active Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proficiency with EPIC EHR system.
- Reliable transportation (private vehicle).
- Current and active Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) license.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Prior experience in an infectious disease clinic.
Special Considerations:
- Temporary-to-hire position (13 weeks initial contract).
- Local candidates only (within 50-mile radius).
- Day shift (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) Monday-Friday.
- No weekend work required.
- No on-call responsibilities.
- Potential for floating between clinics within the same healthcare system.
- Facility may call off up to one shift per pay period.
