Job Description
This Sterile Processing Technician position requires a minimum of two years of experience (four years for first-time travelers) and involves processing surgical instruments and equipment in a hospital setting. The role demands proficiency in sterilization techniques equipment operation (including Davinci surgical system) and a willingness to float between various hospital departments. The technician will work eight-hour shifts with potential weekend work.
- Assembling and wrapping sterilized trays.
- Operating various sterilization equipment (autoclaves washers ultrasonic cleaners).
- Maintaining cleanliness and order within the Sterile Processing Department (SPD).
- Floating to different areas within the hospital (OR Womens Center L&D ICU ER General Surgery Urology and outside practices).
- Adhering to strict infection control protocols.
- Completing daily processing volume (268 trays 830 peel-pouched items).
- Participating in hospital and unit orientations.
- Proficiency in sterilization techniques.
- Experience with Davinci surgical system washers ultrasonic and cart washers.
- CBSPD or IAHCSMM certification.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to float between various hospital departments and work weekends/holidays.
- Experience with case cart processing.
- Rotating weekends and holidays as needed.
- 7-day maximum return to work (RTO) time for Aya Auto Offer.
- 2-day unit orientation plus a hospital orientation week.
- Shift: 23:00-07:30.
- 40-hour work week may be offered.
- 13-week contracts accepted.
