Job Description

Join Our Team: Deputy Program Manager STOUT Program

Are you an experienced leader ready to take on a dynamic role in a high-impact mission-driven environment The STOUT Program is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Deputy Program Manager (DPM) to join our leadership team on a large complex language services contract.

As the DPM you will be instrumental in supporting the Program Manager (PM) with the day-to-day oversight of operationsensuring performance compliance and continuous improvement across a globally distributed workforce. This is a unique opportunity to lead cross-cultural teams engage directly with customers and influence the strategic direction of the program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership: Serve as the primary point of contact for the Leidos PM and customer leadership stepping into full operational responsibility in the PMs absence.

  • Operational Oversight: Ensure task execution aligns with program goals while driving efficiency timeliness and contractual compliance.

  • Performance Monitoring: Track program metrics flag risks and partner with leadership on mitigation planning.

  • Team Management: Guide a team of geographically dispersed professionals across multiple countries and languagesempowering them to succeed.

  • Collaboration & Talent Support: Work closely with recruiters and hiring managers to understand position requirements and enhance recruitment practices.

  • Financial Stewardship: Assist in budget oversight expense tracking and financial forecasting in coordination with finance teams.

  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements to elevate service delivery operational workflows and customer engagement.

  • Stakeholder Relations: Foster strong partnerships with government clients through responsive communication and solution-oriented service.

  • Strategic Growth: Support business development by identifying on-contract growth opportunities and reinforcing program value.

  • Networking: Build relationships with HR professionals academic institutions and other strategic partners.

Required Qualifications

  • Active and in-scope TS/SCI with Polygraph is a must for consideration.

  • Bachelors degree in business management or related field and 8 years experience OR Masters preferred and 6 years experience.

  • Experience should include 5 years managing a project ideally within the government contracting sector

  • Familiarity with U.S. Government and intelligence operations

  • Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills

  • Proficiency or academic background in foreign languages or linguistic studies highly valued

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing risk in program environments

  • Working knowledge of government contracting regulations and compliance

  • Agile program experience and comfort with evolving requirements

  • Understanding of international issues and cultural dynamics

Location & Travel

  • Occasional CONUS travel required within the Washington Metropolitan Area (WMA)

Pay Range:

Pay Range $126100.00 - $227950.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data applicable bargaining agreement (if any) or other law.
