Job Description
What youll be doing;
As a summer intern with Meridian Energy youll get the opportunity to work on some of New Zealands most iconic hydro and wind generation assets as well as being active in all aspects of the company. The programme will push you to develop real-life business and technical skills.
We only take a small number of interns each year and we only want the best! In return well make sure you get some great hands-on experience. Youll be trusted with owning significant projects and will be supported by a friendly team of experts along the way who will help develop your knowledge skills and professional profile.
Youll be based in our Christchurch office sitting alongside our in-house engineering team where youll assist the team with a range of tasks on our new renewable energy projects. You will also get the opportunity to experience some of our amazing generation assets.
What youll get
Youll gain experience working client-side on renewable energy construction projects located across country. Experience will include a mixture of technical and management-type civil engineering while always prioritising health and safety environment and other key project outcomes. The experience will be a good insight into how Meridian as a client works with consultants and contractors to tackle the challenges associated with new renewable energy developments.
This programme may also open the door to limited opportunities within our Graduate Programme though placement is not guaranteed.
