Job Description
Rome Health is currently seeking a highly organized self motivated Department Secretary with exceptional interpersonal skills to assist in providing support our Outpatient Rehabilitation group.
The Department Secretarys duties will include:
- Obtaining insurance authorizations.
- Registering and schedules patients for therapy appointments
- Collecting copayments and answers telephones; greets patients in person.
- Communicating with physician offices for exchange of information.
- Maintaining excel spreadsheets.
Experience/Education Required:
- 2-3 years medical office or hospital patient access experience required.
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Knowledge of MS Office products specifically specifically Word and Excel
- Prior experience with Allscripts/Paragon desirable but not required
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environments is a must.
- High School Diploma/G.E.D.
