Position Overview:
We are looking to fill a need for aStaff Platform Engineer located on-site in Herndon VA in the late 2025/early 2026 timeline. You will be working closely with a talented team to deliver a complex software application into operations. In addition youll have the opportunity to grow and hone your skills with other talented members at ARKA. Our ideal candidate is an Infrastructure/DevOps Engineer who is a hard charging self-starter that can come onto a team and begin to produce quickly. You should have a basic understanding of Kubernetes AWS containerization automated test and deployment pipelines.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related engineering field
- 8 years of Infrastructure/DevOps experience
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and engage with virtual or remote teams
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes and deploying applications to Kubernetes clusters
- Experience with using Helm charts to deploy software to Kubernetes clusters (ie. Argo CD)
- Strong experience with at least one of the major cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Gitlab Jenkins Github Actions etc)
- Scripting and automation skills (e.g. Bash Python GitHub workflows)
- IAT Level II or III certification (i.e. CompTIA Security CISSP or CASP)
- Active TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance with Fully Adjudicated Full Scope Polygraph
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Scrum and Agile software development methodology
- Experience with container tools (Docker Podman) and container orchestration
- Experience delivering microservices in Kubernetes-based systems
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform CloudFormation)
- Basic understanding of observability tools like Prometheus Grafana or similar
