Heres What You Need
Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma
Bachelors degree Nursing (BSN) preferred
One-year experience as a clinical nurse (RN) in an acute care setting required.
2-years experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting preferred
2-years current Maternal/Newborn RN experience strongly preferred
BCLS Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program preferred
Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality positive interpersonal skills and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Do
The Charge Nurse
will communicate and collaborate with all members of the health care team
support and actively participate in shared governance/councils
committed to developing their individual knowledge and skills as well as advancing the profession of nursing and engaging in lifelong learning/development.
evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
directly assists leadership on a particular unit or units and shift by offering staff guidance and support maintaining a clean and safe work environment and ensuring unit operational tasks are completed.

The Womens Center at Texas Health Ft. Worth a MAGNET and Texas 10-Step facility has been named Best Place to Have a Baby and Maternal Level IV designated facility
Work hours: PRN On an as needed basis 6:30PM-7AM with weekend and holiday coverage
Maternal/Newborn Couplet Care Department highlights:

27-bed Maternal/Newborn unit
Average between 275 to 300 deliveries per month
