INTRODUCTION and WHAT YOU WILL DO (Job Responsibilities)
General Scope of Job:
This job consists of the responsibility for facilitating the completion of all maintenance work in a safe timely and cost-efficient manner. Responsible for ensuring quality work by encouraging sound quality procedures. Responsible for performing tasks as assigned by the facilities manager to help maintenance personnel perform as a world class level.
This job will be a working position. It is understood that the team leading portion of the duties described below will not entail a full eight-hour day and the job duties will consist of normal support work as well.
Job Description:
Responsible for prioritizing scheduling assigning and coordinating the flow of work through the maintenance department from the facilities manager and other members of management.
Responsible for tracking and recording accurate information regarding the scope of work completed and time required in the maintenance work order system.
Responsible for identifying equipment and supplies and using standard replenishment systems to purchase items and keep the department running efficiently and cost effectively.
Responsible for working with outside suppliers and contractors as required to coordinate plant repairs upgrades and other items to support operations.
Responsible for assisting with the development of processes and procedures to drive continuous improvement for the services and activities the maintenance department provides.
Responsible for supporting kaizens and cross functional teams and leading specific improvement projects as needed.
Facility support Employee must be able to provide support for facility requirements and inspections (i.e.: Firefighting systems emergency lighting etc.)
Must be able to work without direct supervision upon receiving and reviewing assignments.
Must have a good mechanical background in repairing equipment welding plumbing and sheet metal work.
Ability to research and communicate any necessary facility and equipment upgrades.
Responsible for maintaining a safe and organized area and ensuring that defined 5S standards are maintained.
May perform additional duties within the maintenance department.
Additional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesWHO YOU ARE (Qualifications)
Required Qualifications:
Must have had accredited apprentice training and have had one year prior experience as an Electrician.
Forklift license
Experienced in industrial wiring and installations with extensive knowledge of the NFPA 70E Electrical Safety Standards.
Ability to troubleshoot relay logic-controlled equipment.
Ability to program and troubleshoot PLC controlled equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot CNC equipment by utilizing computer schematics and outside assistance from manufacturer and/or other outside technicians.
Thorough knowledge of electricity and hydraulics
Must be able to read blueprints and schematics as related to projects
Aerial lift license
First Aid and CPR
Respirator fit tested
Additional certifications as required to support operations
Required Experience:
IC
