Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Rutland to assist with the appointment of a Support Officer on a 12-month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 16.10 - 20.51 per hour

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Support Officer to join the Living Well Rutland team. This vital administrative role supports operations within libraries and wider community services including work with Childrens Social Care and Family Help teams. You will manage service coordination tasks such as staffing rotas bookings and project tracking (e.g. Holiday Activities and Food programme) while providing excellent customer-facing and behind-the-scenes support to help residents access services across Rutland.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage staff rotas across libraries and support service continuity.
  • Develop and maintain simple efficient systems for bookings activity tracking and project administration.
  • Record collate and report on data related to services and activities (e.g. attendance performance).
  • Serve as the key administrative support for community-facing projects ensuring information is updated and accessible.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external partners to ensure effective service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Educated to A-level standard or equivalent relevant administrative experience.
  • Proven experience supervising or coordinating staff including rota management.
  • Strong experience creating and improving administrative systems to reduce manual processes.
  • High attention to detail with experience tracking and analysing data or service information.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook) and comfortable using databases or booking systems.
  • Must hold a valid driving licence and be willing to travel to sites across Rutland.

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
