About the Position
Full time Utility this is an entry level position in a large flour milling plant in Port Colborne Ontario. In order to meet the requirements of this job posting the applicant will be cross-trained in operational positions to facilitate operational needs.

About the Position
Full time Utility this is an entry level position in a large flour milling plant in Port Colborne Ontario. In order to meet the requirements of this job posting the applicant will be cross-trained in operational positions to facilitate operational needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Training will be provided and the successful candidate will be able to meet expectations within a reasonable period of time
- Keeping safety a top priority in everything you do
- Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear legible and accurate format and completed with all required information
- Monitor operate maintain calibrate and troubleshoot equipment
- Duties include but are not limited to material handling and light maintenance
- Adhering to Safety Rules GMP HACCP and Food Safety protocols is crucial
- This position also includes general sanitation duties following established GMPs for our food safety programs
- Attend and practice all required health & safety and quality & food safety training
- All other duties required
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Must be able to work from heights stand sit kneel crawl and bend
- May be required to lift 55 lbs. / 22 kg
- Must be able to work in a variety of hot cold or wet conditions
- Shift work overtime and weekends will be required
- The successful candidate must possess good communication skills the ability to follow directions and most importantly perform various tasks safely and independently in a production environment.
- The successful applicant will be competent when working with machinery including the ability to safely troubleshoot operational issues
- Basic computer skills numeracy and record accuracy are also necessary to succeed at this role.
- High school education or equivalent is preferred.
- Experienced in working in a Plant setting.
- Work in accordance with local/provincial legislation
- Understands and is accountable for full compliance with safety and other EHS requirements
- There is room for further advancement in this role
