Job Description

The School of STEM Department of Natural Sciences at Vermont State University invites applications for a Part-Time teaching position for Fall 2025 (August 25 - December 19 2025).

The course to be taught is BIO 2011L - Anatomy & Physiology I - Lab

3 hours of laboratory instruction per week at VTSU Castleton Campus

Anatomy & Physiology 1 is the first semester of a two-semester course which examines the structure and functions of the human body. Topics will include fundamental principles of cell and tissue structure; gross anatomical and physiological organization; electrochemical communication systems; and muscle physiology. This is a laboratory course that involves hands-on or simulated laboratory experiences. Prior learning in basic algebra and chemistry or biology are recommended to students who wish to register for the course.

Minimum Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a Masters degree or better in Biology a related field or equivalent experience in the field. Teaching experience at the college level is preferable.

Salary:
Based on credits previously taught per VSC-VSCPTF Bargaining Unit Agreement.
