Job Summary
The Material Program Manager (MPM) is the direct link between Raytheons internal program management team and its strategic supply base. The MPM is the focal supply chain representative for internal stakeholders and supply chain leadership. In this role you will interface directly with and coordinate efforts between critical suppliers internal procurement teams & other functional areas and the supply chain & program management organizations. You will be directly responsible for program and customer material availability and you will be a part of a team of MPMs jointly supporting the same cause. Without you the Material Program Manager Raytheons internal and external customers will fail to meet their mission critical production requirements.
Within Raytheons business unit portfolio resides the Naval Power & Ship Systems Integration and Sustainment (SSI&S) organizations. Our programs produce and sustain Naval radars and other ship systems. This MPM position will be supporting the Aegis Program Depot in Chesapeake Virginia and could be located onsite in Chesapeake Virginia; as well as Andover Tewksbury or Marlborough Massachusetts.
This position does NOT offer a relocation package.
What You Will Do
- Strategize coordinate and align supply chain efforts with acquisitions team to ensure timely PO placement and effective supplier management
- Manage key strategic suppliers and host status meetings
- Monitor key performance indicators to maintain program health and supplier performance
- Monitor aging purchase order requisitions
- Responsible for collecting past due purchase orders
- Making sure suppliers are on time with delivery
- Work closely with program office materials management engineering quality and operations to align supply chain efforts with customer and programs priorities
- Present and represent supply chain status and efforts to internal customers and stakeholders via public speaking in weekly and ad hoc program meetings
- Expedite critical material availability to support program and operations production schedule through line of balance tracking
- Provide proposal support lead customer proposal efforts on behalf of the Supply Chain Team
- Develop or aid with the development of Material Program Plans (MPP)
- Develop or aid with the development of program execution and slides for Gates 0-11
- Coordinate with supply base and procurement on advance demand forecasting & planning
- Go to person for supply chain represent all supply chain functions in program meetings
- Improvise day to day to solve program critical ad hoc problems
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelors degree in Business Management Finance Supply Chain or similar concentration and 5 years of experience in a supply chain management material program management procurement subcontracts or other similar role
- Experience with supplier management and procurement activities
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite especially excel (VLOOKUP pivots etc.)
- Experience with MRP / SAP / KINAXIS
Qualification We Prefer
- Masters degree in business management finance supply chain or similar concentration
- Ability to lead efforts and resolve problems
- Ability and flexibility to function in a high pace ever changing environment
- A team oriented and self-starter attitude
- Comfort and willingness with public speaking and representing supply chain
- The desire to be a leader and grow within an organization
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- The ability to obtain MPM level 4 and EVMS certifications with 1 year of hire
