PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: 50000.00 - 60000.00 depending on relevant skills knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

This role sits within Corporate Systems which is responsible for the strategy roadmap design development and support of the BBCs enterprise wide/corporate systems including Finance Procurement Treasury Legal HR and Resource Scheduling. We work closely with our key stakeholders to understand their needs and then manage a range of projects to meet those needs.

The HR Product Team are responsible for all the strategy and support of HR systems at the BBC including SAP HCM SuccessFactors Resourcing systems Contingent Worker applications and a large number of other HR applications that underpin HR Service Centre operations including HR Safety and Legal Case management systems.

WHY JOIN THE TEAM

We are looking for someone with experience working on HR systems to join the Case Management Product team as a Senior Systems Engineer; this team is critical to the BBC and its ability to operate essential processes. The role reports in to the Manager Systems Engineering who leads the team. The team work across several case management products covering HR Legal Safety and other areas managing the roadmap of delivery changes incidents and 3rd line support.

As a Senior Systems Engineer in our team youll be across various case management system in HR Safety and Legal departments. You will join the current team in working through change requests incidents and ad-hoc project requirements. Building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders will be key to the success of the role as well as getting the best outcome and user experience to our customers inside the BBC.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:

As a Senior Systems Engineer in the Corporate Systems Case Management team you will work alongside your team to delivery against our monthly drop scope resolve incidents by liaising with users directly and our 3rd party support team as well as making sure all changes to the systems are done using best practice and in accordance with the change release management.

You will be involved in all aspects of the software development and testing lifecycle working with suppliers and specialist teams across Corporate Systems and Technology and Media Operations to deliver change small medium and large via ad-hoc work with Projects. Delivering improvements in the operating environment and ensuring alignment with the overall BBC enterprise architecture strategy will be essential to your role.

You will be part of daily stand ups join regular calls with our suppliers to ensure problems are addressed and take ownership of your changes and issues by giving regular written updates on your tickets.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone who is motivated and organised with the ability to manage multiple active tasks

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

Experience of working with case management systems data and integrations
Experience assisting with the design delivery or support of technical systems and infrastructure within a HR technology environment
Strong communication & IT skills
Experience working in an Agile software development environment (Scrum)
Knowledge of the software development and software testing lifecycles

DESIRED

Great knowledge management ability e.g. documenting designs or processes
Experience translating project user and product requirements into technical solutions
Experience working alongside third party service delivery or support in an engineering environment
