The Waterloo Region District School Board is accepting applications for the position of Psychological Services Consultant.
Reporting through the Psychology Lead to the Superintendent Student Achievement and Well-Being Special Education the successful applicant will have specific responsibilities in Learning Support Services- Special Education Grades JK 12.
The successful applicants for these Professional Student Services Personnel positions will assume the roles and responsibilities of the position with a start date of September 2 2025. The salary range is $67596 - $113506 per annum prorated to FTE allocation.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive psychological assessments involving diagnoses of a wide variety of developmental disorders (e.g. Learning Disorders Intellectual Disability ADHD Language Disorders ASD Disruptive Behaviour Disorders anxiety and other mental health disorders);
Provide psychological interventions and consultation services together with agency liaison services that focus on individual students parents groups of students staff and school-wide initiatives;
Provide school services as a member of the school Multidisciplinary Support Team;
Consultations could include facilitation of Stage II threat/risk assessment;
Interventions could include behaviour intervention planning and implementation;
Interventions could include group interventions for a variety of issues;
Qualifications
Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario;
M.A. in School or Clinical Psychology (minimum requirement);
Excellent assessment and educational programming skills;
Experience in interventions and consulting in school settings;
Excellent interpersonal skills;
Knowledge of child and adolescent development and learning process;
Use of a personal vehicle;
Valid Drivers License.
