Job Description
Job Summary
- Supervising Environmental Services employees. Interviewing selecting and training new employees. Monitoring current employees and providing ongoing training coaching and performance management.
- Participating in the development and implementation of department wide projects and programs. Responding to customer concerns/compliments.
- Controlling operating expenses. Adjusting staffing levels based on fluctuating workloads.
- Developing and maintaining employee performance standards to achieve desired quality results through daily rounding in areas of responsibility and performing required audits. Evaluating employee performance.
- Utilizing the Beaumont Standards and effective communication skills to incorporate specific age cultural or developmental needs.
- Maintaining and/or improving employee engagement through rounding recognition team building and meeting.
- Participation in department and hospital committees.
- Developing programs/practices which ensure correct/safe care and usage of chemical products and equipment.
- Evaluation of new and existing products and equipment.
- Required High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred Associates Degree
- 3 years of relevant experience Healthcare environmental services and/or customer service Required
- 2 years of relevant experience Leadership Preferred
- Knowledge of hospital procedures and practices Preferred
