State Fire is currently looking for a full-time Fire Sprinkler Fitterbased in Reno NV. Ideal candidates have a background and experience with fire sprinkler systems.
Your role as a Fire Sprinkler Fitter will include the following responsibilities:
Install various types of sprinkler systems including wet pipe dry pipe pre-action and deluge systems. This involves reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications to ensure the system is installed correctly.
Regional travel and overnight stays may be required.
8 10 or 12 hour shifts Monday Friday.
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent.
Possess or can obtain any applicable state licensing.
Knowledge of fire and building codes OSHA and other regulations pertaining to the job. MSHA preferred.
Knowledge of and experience with all types of fire sprinkler systems.
Basic computer and software skills.
Must have and maintain a valid drivers license with acceptable driving record.
Must have and maintain an acceptable national criminal background check.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment urinalysis test and any further randomly selected tests.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Ability to work flexible hours and on-call.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit stand kneel crouch or stoop for prolonged periods.
Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
Ability to climb ladders scaffolding and stairs.
Ability to move about in areas with limited space and difficult access.
Ability to safely lift transport and place objects up to 70 pounds without assistance.
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors.
Ability to use trade-specific power tools such as hand tools saws pipe cutters etc.
