Moderna is seeking a seasoned Site Reliability Engineer to join our expanding Cloud Engineering & Operations organization in Warsaw. This team plays a foundational role in enabling secure scalable and reliable infrastructure to support our internal digital ecosystem and advance the mission of delivering mRNA medicines globally.
As a hands-on technical contributor you will be instrumental in bridging on-premises and cloud environments implementing DevOps principles and operating in a fast-paced highly dynamic setting. Your work will directly support enterprise-wide digital platforms and services driving stability performance and innovation through automation and cross-functional collaboration.
This role demands strong problem-solving abilities a collaborative mindset and a relentless focus on operational excellence.
Heres What Youll Do:
Your key responsibilities will be:
Designing and executing scalable reliable infrastructure and tooling that aligns with organizational performance and resilience goals.
Participating in 24x7x365 on-call rotations and managing proactive and reactive support across systems and services.
Decomposing complex engineering problems into actionable workstreams and applying high standards of testing and operational discipline.
Proactively collaborating with internal customers and engineering teams to reduce friction enhance supportability and drive down operational costs.
Your responsibilities will also include:
Applying industry best practices in automation monitoring change management and fault-tolerant architecture.
Executing and documenting planned changes (change requests) that preserve environment health and uptime.
Improving platform maintainability by reducing complexity and increasing observability across systems.
Engaging with legacy and emerging technologies to continuously evolve Modernas cloud infrastructure landscape.

Heres What Youll Need (Basic Qualifications)
Bachelors degree in computer science or a related technology or scientific field OR 5 years of equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree.
1 years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Python Ruby PowerShell etc.
2 years of job-related experience in a non-internship role.
1 years of experience designing or architecting (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
Experience with modern full-stack software applications both built or off the shelf.
Experience documenting technical systems user workflows and user requirements.
Experience with traditional IT infrastructure as well as the Cloud preferably AWS.
Heres What Youll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience designing building and deploying complex and performant (reliable and scalable) software/system solutions in a production environment.
Knowledge of and advocation of engineer practices and patterns for the full life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing certification and production operations.
