Our vacancies
Brentwood Borough Council currently has two permanent vacancies for Grounds Maintenance Operatives.
Key duties and responsibilities
As part of the Neighbourhood Action Team take a pro-active role in the cleanliness of the boroughs streets public open spaces and woodlands. In liaison with Council members and service supervisors.
To undertake a variety of Grounds Maintenance tasks within Brentwoods Parks Green Spaces and Highways including grass cutting hedge cutting sports pitch maintenance litter picking.
To provide cover for sickness and absence within Brentwoods Housing Maintenance and Cemeteries teams including grass cutting hedge cutting sports pitch maintenance litter picking cemeteries maintenance.
Key skills required
- Current driving licence.
- High level of flexibility positive can-do attitude.
- General groundwork/estate management experience.
- Dealing with public enquiries/conflict.
