Otak is looking for a creative motivated and highly collaborative individual to join our team as part of the Architecture Co-op program in our Portland Oregon office.

Join our dynamic studio and immerse yourself in the creative process. As a vital member of our team you will prepare presentation materials models sketches construction documents and reports through every phase of design. You will thrive in our vibrant culture of collaboration and innovation where your ideas and creativity are valued. Under the mentorship of a Project Architect you will have the chance to deepen your architectural knowledge and explore the multifaceted world of design and construction. What you will do:

• Work on dynamic projects as a fully integrated member of the design team participating at all phases of design.
• Learn the fundamentals of implementing a project by assisting in the preparation of BIM models and technical drawings.
• Collaborate with team members across the studio to iterate and develop innovative design solutions.
• Assist project team with product and systems research.
• Gain experience in a professional setting working with team members consultants and other Otak disciplines.

What you bring:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters degree program in Architecture.
• Skilled in communication across various mediums including computer modeling hand sketching model building and rendering.
• Demonstrated ability using Revit and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop InDesign Illustrator) required.
• Experience with AutoCAD SketchUp Enscape V-ray or other 3D modeling software is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook; and Bluebeam.
• Profound enthusiasm for exploring and creating innovative design solutions that make a meaningful impact on peoples lives.
• Collaborative communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Resourcefulness self-motivation and problem-solving abilities.
