Provides clinical services on demand as necessary and approved by the Department. Provide to SJHS patients all audiology services including audiologic assessment (behavioral and electrophysiologic) and balance testing (including rotary chair ENG VEMP and platform post urography). May include prosthetic device management and dispensing (including personal wearable amplification systems hearing protection systems assistive listening devices and implants)
and/or intra-operative monitoring (N. VII and/or N. VIII).
JOB DUTIES
Actively demonstrates the organizations mission and core values and conducts oneself at all times in a manner consistent with these values. Knows and adheres to all laws and regulations pertaining to patient health safety and medical information. Interviews patients (or responsible adult) for medical and behavioral information about the patient to evaluate hearing loss balance dysfunction and/or neurologic integrity and to determine the most appropriate psycho physical methods to be used during testing.
Conducts and is able to justify (through citation of appropriate research) procedures used for tests to evaluate peripheral auditory system function and vestibular function. Generates appropriate clinical reports. Provides appropriate patient counseling referrals and recommendations. Performs other duties consistent with purpose of job as directed.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES
Education: Masters Degree required (ie MS MA AuD or PhD)
Licensure: Audiology - Current Audiology license State of Indiana required. CPR certification preferred.
Experience: Minimum - 1-2 years of previous job-related experience. Preferred - 3-5 years of previous job-related experience.
