Job Overview

Podar Education Network is seeking a Junior Clinical Psychologist to join our team in Bangalore. This is a full-time position requiring 1 to 3 years of work experience. The role involves delivering psychological services to students promoting mental well-being and implementing therapeutic interventions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Patient Counseling and Mental Health Counseling which are mandatory skills for this position.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency in cognitive behavioral therapy patient counseling and mental health counseling (mandatory skills).
  • Ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to individual student needs.
  • Sound understanding of trauma-informed care practices and their application in educational settings.
  • Skilled in conducting psychological assessments and deriving insights for positive student development.
  • Experience in diagnostic evaluation for a range of psychological issues commonly encountered in educational settings.
  • Competence in providing psychoeducation to students and staff to foster a supportive environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with educational staff and families.
  • Empathy patience and active listening abilities to build trust and rapport with students of diverse backgrounds.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Administer and interpret psychological assessments to identify and address student needs.
  • Develop individualized therapeutic plans using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy.
  • Provide counseling services to students addressing emotional social and behavioral challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers parents and staff to create inclusive and supportive educational environments.
  • Conduct workshops and provide psychoeducation to foster mental wellness within the school community.
  • Maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress for continuous improvement.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with psychological and educational best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of school policies pertaining to student mental health and well-being.
